Mausoleum of "Seyyid Nasır"

This mausoleum was built in the 15th century. Seyyid Nasır was one of the first Mujahideen dervishes, who, in the 14th century, came from Bukhara to Bursa. Seyyid Nasır lived during the reign of Sultan Murad II, and fought in the conquest of Bursa. He died in Bursa in 1451. After his death, Hodja Shahabeddin, a Bursa merchant, ordered in 1453 a “tekke”, or small dervish lodge, to be built here on the former’s name. In 1893, Sultan Abdulhamid ordered both mausoleum and “tekke” of “Seyyid Nasir” to be renovated. Lastly, this mausoleum, with its walls made of rubble stones and its timber roof, was restored in 2009 by Osmangazi Municipality.

In the graveyard, which is situated in front of this mausoleum, there is one tombstone without an inscription. Historical sources state that there were also other persons buried in this graveyard.
