Tayyare Cultural Center

One of the first modern cinema-theater-concert halls in the history of the Republic, Tayyare Cultural Center was built by the Tayyare Society (Turkish Aeronautical Association) with the project of the famous architect Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu and was put into service in 1932. The building, which was purchased by Bursa Municipality in 1945, was used as a cinema and service building for many years, and restoration works were started in 1991 in order to return to its original form.Tayyare Cultural Center is one of the simplest and most beautiful examples among the works of the First National Architecture Period. As a result, the building, which was put into service under the name of Tayyare Cultural Center, took its place in Bursa's cultural life with concerts-performances for 700 people, 4 exhibitions and meeting halls for 100 people. Tayyare Cultural Center serves for multipurpose uses with its sophisticated stage system, sound-light-projection and cinema, as well as simultune systems that allow translation in 3 languages ​​at the same time, as well as backstage, seminar and meeting rooms, technical rooms, foyer and cocktail hall. .
