Hüma Hatun Tomb
The tomb, II. It is understood from its three-line Arabic inscription that it was built by his son Fatih Sultan Mehmed, upon the order of Murad II, for his mother Hüma Hatun, in 853 H. (1449). It is also known as “Ak Tomb” or “Hatuniye Tomb”.
Inside the tomb, there are hand-drawn decorations from the 19th century on the dome, altar and walls.
Apart from the sarcophagus belonging to Hüma Hatun, located on a marble set in the tomb, there is another sarcophagus whose identity is unknown.
The tomb was subjected to extensive restoration by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality between 2013 and 2014; It is located within the area declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014.
