The “Traditional Carpet Weaving and Silk Drawing” workshop held within the scope of the “Bursa Silk Revives” project both entertained and informed the students.
Students of Mümin Gençoğlu Primary School and Sait Süheyla Bildirenler Imam Hatip Secondary School showed great interest in the workshop held by the Culture and Tourism Branch Directorate of Press and Public Relations Department of the Metropolitan Municipality in Hançerli Cultural Center. A total of 300 students attended the workshop, which was held in two separate groups, morning and lunch.
Umurbey Silk Production and Design Center Production Manager Mehmet Ünal, informed the students on the one hand, about the sericulture, which is one of the most important symbols of Bursa, and on the other hand, introduced the silk taking off and carpet weaving processes practically. Students, on the other hand, had a pleasant day by touching and shooting silk during the workshop.
