Description
Hoca Taskin Mosque
It was built by a person named Taşkın Sufi, who lived during the reign of Mehmed the Conqueror (1451-1481).
Taşkın Sufi (died 1492) took lessons from Molla Hüsrev. Since he was a member of Sufism, he settled in this neighborhood close to Emir Sultan, built a mosque and started preaching here. Although Hoca Taşkın was buried next to the mosque when he died, his tombstone has not survived to the present day. The tomb located to the south of the mosque today is Hacı Hüseyin's grave.
