Description
Emirsultan Mosque
It was built in the early 15th century by Hundi Fatma Sultan, daughter of Yıldırım Bayezid and wife of Emir Sultan, on behalf of Emir Sultan. There is an eight-cornered fountain in the middle of the rectangular courtyard. In addition, there is a mosque in the south of the courtyard, Emir Sultan Tomb and wooden rooms in the north. The mosque has a square plan and is covered with a single dome. While the mosque had many domes when it was first built, it was ruined in 1795 and Sultan III. It was built in its current form in the Rococo and Ampir style during the Selim period in 1804-1805. The building was repaired between 1861 and 1876 during the reign of Sultan Abdülaziz.
