Gazi Timurtaş Pasha Tomb
He is the nicknamed Gâzî of Demirtaş (Timurtaş) Pasha, who lived during the reign of Yıldırım Bayezid. When Murad I passed to Rumelia, he gave Timurtaş Pasha, who participated in the war with Karamanoğlu Ali Bey in 1386, the duty of officer and guard of Sakarya. When Yıldırım Bayezid came to the throne, he came to Edirne and gave Demirtaş Pasha the rank of Beylerbeyi and left him in Edirne. Pasha, who supported his brother İsa Çelebi against Çelebi Mehmed, was killed by his closest man and buried in his current tomb in the location formerly called Balıkpazarı.
One of the three graves in the tomb belongs to Timurtaş Pasha, who died in H.805/AD1402.
