    Description

    Tomb of Gülçiçek Hatun
The tomb, which is estimated to have been built in 1399-1400, belongs to Gülçiçek Hatun, the wife of Sultan Murad I (1359-1389) and the mother of Yıldırım Bayezid. Gülçiçek Hatun is the first female Sultan among the mothers of the Sultan who has a tomb in her name. The place where the tombs are located has a square plan and is covered with a dome. Although the column bases are preserved in place at the entrance of the tomb, the columns do not exist today. There are three more sarcophagi in the tomb, whose belongings are unknown, other than Gülçiçek Hatun.
