Yenişehir Suleyman Pasha Tomb
The tomb, which is a part of the Süleyman Pasha Complex, was built for him between 1337 and 1338 by Orhan Gazi's son, Süleyman Pasha, when he was the Sancak Bey of İzmit. It is seven meters in diameter, has octagonal corners, has a heavy dome and its dome is lead-coated. Süleyman Pasha, who was interested in hunting since his childhood, died after falling off his horse during a hunting trip. He was buried in his mausoleum in Bolayır.
