    Description

    Kütahya (Çukur) Inn
Although there is no exact information about the construction date of Kütahya Inn and its builder; In some sources it is written that it was the foundation of Yıldırım Bayezid's son-in-law Emir Sultan. Based on this information, it is thought that the building may have been built in the early 15th century. In a record dated 1638, the inn was called "Kite Inn". In addition, Kütahya Inn is also known as "Çukur Inn" among the public.

The inn has two floors and its rooms are arranged around an open courtyard in accordance with the classical inn plan.

On the ground floor of the building, which is surrounded by streets on three sides, there are shops opening to the outside in the form of an iwan on the western and northern facades. To the east of the inn, there was a stable section located open to the courtyard.

The building was last restored by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality in 2013.
