Description
french church
The church was built at the end of the 19th century by merchants of French origin living in Bursa and belonging to the Filles De La Charite sect. It is known that the decoration of the building was done by Assomptionist sect Priest Prosper Lamerand and a Russian painter in 1927.
The French Protestant Church has a rectangular single-nave plan.
The facades of the church have a simple appearance and are in gothic style with stepped towers rising on the main wall and pointed arched windows.
The church, which was not used after 1960, continued its original function for a short period in 1971. The church aims to reflect this architectural feature of Bursa, which has a social structure consisting of different religions, languages and cultures; It was restored by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality in 2004 as a building with social, cultural and worship functions.
