Description
Alaaddin Bey Mosque
The mosque was built by Alaaddin Bey, brother of Orhan Gazi, in 1326, when Bursa was conquered, and is considered the first mosque of the Ottomans in Bursa.
Although he was Orhan Gazi's older brother, Alaaddin Bey renounced his principality and was replaced by his brother Orhan Bey. He was one of the first people to have a charity work built in Bursa.
The building, which is a typical Early Ottoman period mosque, has a rectangular plan with the main worship space and the three-section narthex. S.
