Rice Inn
II. It was built by Bayezid between 1490-1508. II in Istanbul. It is one of the two inns built in Bursa to bring income to the social complex belonging to Beyazid, the other being Koza Inn.
Its architects are Yakup Shah, son of Sultan Shah, and Ali, son of Abdullah. In old records, it was mentioned as "Pirinç Hanı" and "Han-ı Cedid-i Sani". It is more commonly known as the "Rice Inn" because it used to be an inn where grain, especially rice, was sold.
The two-storey inn, located around a square-plan courtyard, has porticoes in front of the rooms on both floors.
Pirinç Inn is known as the inn where foreign merchants frequented and stayed most before the 19th century.
The building underwent major repairs between 1983 and 2004.
