Description
Selcuk Hatun Mosque
It is stated in the inscription written in thuluth letters on the entrance gate that it was built by Selçuk Hatun, the daughter of Çelebi Sultan Mehmed, in 1450.
The mosque has a rectangular plan, including the main place of worship and the last congregation area. The gable wall, which is frequently seen in Bursa masjids, is in the form of a three-arched opening.
The fountain at the western corner of the perimeter wall of the mosque is an Early Ottoman period fountain with a pointed arch, made using stone and brick materials.
The mosque was repaired in 1568, 1762, in the 1860s, 1966 and 2014.
