Iznik Mahmut Çelebi Mosque
The mosque is mentioned in the inscription on the door arch on the north façade as II. It is stated that it was built by Mahmut Çelebi between 1422 and 1423 during the reign of Murad. It is the last mosque of the Ottoman period in Iznik. The mosque consists of a square-planned main place of worship and the last congregation area to the north of it. The minaret rising above the main walls has a round body, a single balcony and a pointed cone. The narthex has three sections. In its inscription: "This mosque is the apple of the eye of the emirate and the fruit of the tree of viziership, the owner of good deeds and good deeds, the owner of tables and pleasing deeds, the great and great vizier, the late, the said, the forgiven and the martyr Ibrahim Pasha, may God enlighten the resting place, his son Mahmut Çelebi, may his good deeds continue and his state be exalted." It is written.
